I (Lucy) have finally had the chance to share my photos of Ben Thomas (trumpet) playing with The Julian Martin (piano) Trio at the Brecon Jazz Festival with Ian Williams (drums) and Ross Thomas (bass).
 

It was a beautiful day for it too, the light was shining in through the windows of the the creative hub that is The Muse, creating little rainbow pockets of colour that bounced off the band in an interplay of music, light and movement. 
 

The room was full to the brim and much like the rest of the audience I was captivated by the group's musical offerings! 
 

It was a wonderful performance and hopefully you can see that the creativity of Ben and Julian's arrangements inspired me to feel more at ease with an impressionistic approach to my photography.
 

I love capturing their interactions with each other; Julian's expressions are infectious, Ben embodies the sounds he creates, Ian is at the centre of a vortex of alternative drum sounds and Ross just looked like he was loving the vibe!
